Meet the leaders of our church
The Church Planters
Fr. Kyle and Chelsea Logan
Kyle was ordained a priest in 2016 and served as an associate for five years before becoming rector (lead priest) three years ago. Chelsea worked in church ministry, taught at a Christian school, and currently works for the Max De Pree Center for Leadership at Fuller Theological Seminary. We both graduated from seminary: Kyle from Beeson Divinity School (MDiv) and Chelsea from Fuller Theological Seminary (MAT). Our shared sense of calling to serve the Church combined with our individual giftings enables us to work well as a team.
After getting married in 2019, we sensed God’s leading to move to Washington to help revitalize Grace by the Sea Anglican Church on Whidbey Island. By God’s grace, the church has steadily grown and is positioned for long-term health. During this revitalization, Kyle also helped launch a daughter church out of Grace by the Sea.
And yet, during all this rewarding work, we both continued to hear a “still small voice” drawing us to Bend, Oregon (1 Kings 19:12). After a few years of careful, prayerful discernment and undergoing a thorough church planter’s assessment, our call to plant a church in Bend has been affirmed by our diocese and those around us.
We are excited about the work the Lord has called us into and eager to develop deep roots in a city we sense is home for us and our son Fisher.
