What to Expect
Worshipping with us.
Before Worship
Many who join us are new to ancient Christian liturgy. We consider it a joy and privilege to introduce you to the Church’s worship. Bulletins are provided at the entrance of the sanctuary to help you easily participate. If you have any questions, a greeter or pastor will be nearby to help.
Feel free to arrive early to orient yourself to the space or connect with folks. You’re also able to enter the sanctuary for a time of contemplation and prayer before worship. At 4:50pm, the Altar party begins vesting and the candles on the altar are lit.

During Worship
We worship in the same basic pattern that most Christians have followed since the beginning of the Church in Acts 2. Namely, we gather for the apostles’ teaching (reading and preaching from Holy Scripture), prayer, fellowship, and breaking bread (Holy Communion).
Anglican liturgy places strong emphasis on the Bible. In fact, most of our liturgy is Scripture arranged for worship. Each time we gather for worship, we participate in the Eucharist, which literally means “thanksgiving.” Together we thank God for his many good gifts to us, especially Jesus’ death and resurrection, and for spiritually feasting on Christ through Word (Scripture) and Table (Holy Communion).
The liturgy is both reverent and relaxed. Come expecting to encounter the Triune God in the beauty of worship in a welcoming environment.

Worship and Children
At Resurrection, we value children and joyfully welcome them in our worship services. We believe this is an important aspect to their formation and discipleship as Christians.
But we also recognize that some kids do better with structured play. So we do provide a nursery staffed with trained workers who are able to watch your children during the service. Typically, you'll see parents leave their kids in the childcare room during the 1st half of the service. But once we transition to Holy Communion, it's common for parents to bring their kids into the service to join. We have found this to be an important formative practice for kids in their relationship with Jesus. However, you are more than welcome to leave your toddler with our childcare workers if that's your preference.
In these initial stages of church planting, we are only able to provide one classroom for all of our kids. We hope to soon offer separate classrooms staffed with trained volunteers who will be able to help facilitate conversations around Jesus and the Scriptures. If your children are making noise during worship–it's OK! We value children and joyfully welcome them in our worship services.

A Note on Safety:
Everyone who works with children at Resurrection is screened through a background check and receives training in the Diocese of Cascadia child protection protocol. We strive to ensure that our staff and volunteers are trustworthy and wise people who are equipped to serve.
