So much of Anglicanism is found within the rhythms of prayer. The Book of Common Prayer (BCP) is what we use to pray individually (Daily Office) and corporately (Eucharist services). It also has many helpful prayers for particular times and situations, ranging from personal devotion, death, thanksgiving, and more. 

The Anglican Way is a guidebook for anyone interested in following Jesus as an Anglican Christian. Written for both the newcomer and seasoned Anglican, this book answers hundreds of questions about history, liturgy, sacraments, theology, and worship.

In this book, Smith shows that both who and what we worship fundamentally shape our hearts. And while we desire to shape culture, we are not often aware of how culture shapes us. Smith helps readers recognize the formative power of culture and the transformative possibilities of Christian practices.

Alexander Schmemann suggests an approach to the world and life within it, which stems from the liturgical experience of the Church (Orthodox perspective). This is a challenging yet incredible book. Warren explores themes of human vulnerability, suffering, and God's seeming absence. When she navigated a time of doubt and loss, the prayers found in the Book of Common Prayer were grounding for her. She writes that practices of prayer "gave words to my anxiety and grief and allowed me to reencounter the doctrines of the church not as tidy little antidotes for pain, but as a light in darkness, as good news."
